We Have Babies!!

WE HAVE BABIES!! 🦌💚🦌 Vibrant New Deer Energy!✨✨✨
This year’s set of twins born at Core Lodge.
So beautiful... they seem very smart and alert.
We weren’t privy to the delivery this time but by our best guess they were born around June 27, 2021... which would make them about two weeks old.
They’ve been pretty illusive up until now... Momma (pictured above) only bringing them out at night (as seen by our night time camera for the last couple of weeks... before that we would see her pass by and could tell she was due to deliver soon.) and then all of a sudden they were in our front yard yesterday.
Such a wonderful surprise!! I even happened upon them later that morning by accident... opened the side door and there they were... cooing and alert (I’d only wished I had my camera on me then too!... but sometimes experiencing something first hand without your camera is the best way to appreciate a moment, unencumbered by getting “the shot”).
Twin #1 - Seems to be the leader but can’t be sure just yet.
Very brave and inquisitive by coming so close to the front door.
Twin #2 - Seems to trail behind, observe and take it’s time then bound ahead to catch up with its sibling.
Exciting note:
It’s a high possibility that these are “Gimpy’s” siblings.
Time will tell... we‘ll observe them more to determine if it is his mom, but it looks like her!
They are so new and fresh, full of life and wonder bringing us vibrant new deer energy... such innocence and a reminder that if we allow, we can also tap into our inner child which gives us the magical ability to regenerate time and time again.
They’re already skilled at trimming Tim’s hedges, lol!
